About AMWAY



 In a little more than 40 years the tiny business started by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andeo in the basements of their homes has become one of the world's largest network marketing companies. In 1959, Amway offered just one product ( a household detergent named Liquid Organic Cleaner) and a unique marketing plan that rewards Independent Business Owners (IBOs) according to their sales efforts and willingness to help sponsored Independent Business Owners succeed.





Since the beginning, VAn Andel and DeVos were convinced from personal experience that their company must offer products of the highest quality, products which were necessary for everyday use, products whose demonstration and sale needed only limited expertise, products which were available from a reliable source of supply, and the products which were consumed readily so that repeat business would be generated.





Today, 4 decades later, Amway has expanded operations in over 80 countries and territories and carries more than 400 products. The business, now a tradition, has been passed on to their children and continues to grow to live up it vision: To the best business opportunity in the world.
